Matt Vest

 MA, LCMHCA, NCC

(He/Him/His)

My name is Matt Vest. I'm a dad, co-parenting partner, and therapist in the Asheville area. I work primarily with adults and couples who seek deeper meaning, connection, and balance in their lives. My therapeutic style is based in Existential and Humanistic theories of psychotherapy, and may incorporate elements of mindfulness, Person-Centered therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

I am also trained in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and informed by Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration (PHRI) and am available to offer KAP services in partnership with Asheville Integrative Psychiatry's Watershed Healing Collective. In addition, I offer harm-reduction and integration support for those choosing to use psychedelics independently (for more information on KAP and PHRI-related services, see my FAQ).

I am available for in-person and online (virtual) appointments for individuals of at least 13 years of age and couples. I am in network with Aetna and also available by self-pay (with sliding-scale options). Couples therapy is by self-pay only.
