Do you accept insurance?

I am in network with Aetna, and will bill insurance for work with individual clients. At this time, I do not accept insurance when working with couples.

Do you offer sliding scale rates?

I do! For those for whom my standard fee presents a hardship, I offer a limited number of sliding scale options through Open Path Psychotherapy Collective. This requires a one time fee of $65, and gives clients access to reduced sessions at a rate between $40-$70 per session, ($40-$80 for couples).

Do you work with clients virtually? In person?

I see clients both virtually, and in-person at my office just north of downtown Asheville at 390 Merrimon Ave.

Do you work with clients who are using ketamine or other psychedelics therapeutically?

For clients who are working with psychedelic substances, such as Ketamine, that are provided by a licensed clinician I have completed didactic and experiential trainings in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), and am available to support with preparation, experiential sessions, and integration services. I can also offer these services through a partnership with Asheville Integrative Psychiatry's Watershed Healing Collective, which allows me to refer clients for screening, prescription of Ketamine, and follow-up, while I assist clients with the psychotherapy (preparation, experiential, and integration) part of the work.

For those seeking support around use of psychedelics in other contexts, I am informed by a psychedelic harm reduction and integration (PHRI) approach to preparation and integration. Although I am here to reduce harm and negative outcomes, and provide integration services to facilitate positive outcomes for people who have chosen to use psychedelics independently, I believe it is important that they understand potential legal, physical, and mental health risks and considerations around such use. I do not offer any services or advice related to obtaining illegal substances, nor will I ever recommend any client undertake use outside of legal, sanctioned, safe, and well-considered contexts or when better-established treatment options are feasible. In working with those who have chosen to use psychedelics that are illegal, my focus is on harm-reduction, psychoeducation, and integration aspects of this work, and I do not offer experiential/use ("sitting") sessions of any kind.
